I am sure you noticed the date ranges on that map. I am sure there range and sightings have increased a bit since 2002.

I've seen a ton of trailcam pics of Texas bears on THF. Mostly Sanderson area pics.

Also remember that small un being killed in Mt. Home.

I think bears should be brought back in the State of Texas, just as the elk, bison, mountain lion, big horn sheep, pronghorn and mule deer.

That way I won't have to leave the State to pursue western game wink

I posted pic a year ago in a thread I started labeled "Black Bear at the Ranch" 8/2/15. Someone more computer savvy is welcome to link back to it. Got it at my place in Kinney county north of Brackett, close to the Edwards County pics John Russell posted. Coulda been same one if dates jive. I did work with wildlife biologist which is outlined in the prev thread. It seems he was just passing through, but I always look around when I am at that feeder...

I've seen this said on this forum a couple times now, but I have never talked to anyone who has actually seen a bear here.

You might want to revise that statement they can and do have an impact here in MN. http://www.bearstudy.org/website/images/...n_Minnesota.pdf

Slick? No need for that. As far as the bear map. Should have added Real county to the list. Ranch next to one of our places has had bear sightings for years. Camp wood creek to be exact.

Considering the closest they have been seen is the san angelo area, and haven't been spotted in between. Its hard to believe. If bears were in the area, it would be the talk of the town.

Do not -"GO to town. Just to talk it up. At some Coffe-Shop."

So was it you or your family that saw the bear? I never called you or your family liars. Its a pretty far out claim, don't get pissy if someone wants some proof.

On that year with Val Verde lease, the bear(s) were very destructive to feeder and cams.

They have been sighted, not by me, in Hardin, Tyler, and Sabine counties in SETX. I HAVE seen the pictures of the one in Hardin county, posted in a restaurant in Honey Island.

In some areas where there's a good population they do kill deer and other things. They pretty much go after any opportunity.
