I'm looking for 2 to 2 1/2 tons corn for weekend of Aug 13-14 for lease 30 mils west of Childress. Anyone know of a bulk grainer that may loan/rent hopper/blower trailer with corn purchase? Or someone that will shrink wrap 50# bags on pallets and load on trailer? Any info and contacts would be much appreciated. THANKS  Find a feed mill in your area and call them. See if they will bag it for you. Won't cost anything to ask.

The bag and labor cost is about $1.25 a bag based on my experience. Cleaning cost another .35 per 50#. It adds up quick.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

I bought a ton last week. Total was $310.00
If ducks had horns I'd probably be a duck hunter.

feed store in Wylie is down 50 cents to $7.50 50lb but I was really hoping that it would come closer to last years corn price. Seems we pay alot for those fancy bags it comes in.

Corn at WRD in Waller dropped to $5.95/50# bag, price for 50 to 199 bags is $5.65 each, over 200 is $5.35...new crop corn Scents available - Apple, Persimmon, Acorn - extra 50 cents per bag

I'll have to check my receipt to be sure, but I picked up a thousand lbs of corn on Aug. 11 at Brown Feed in Lampasas and I believe it was $5.30 a 50 lb bag. Cheapest I have seen in several years. Also, save you old bags (if in good shape where they can refill) and they will give you $0.10 a piece on your next trip by there.

While you are there I suggest the brisket and egg taco for the morning gut punch. They are pretty good.
