How long do your corn feeders last as far as fill intervals? How often do you have timers set for and how long?
Thanks,

Throwing 2 seconds right now 2 times a night, come September it will be 4 seconds at 6 am and 5 seconds at 5pm. I fill about every 45 days now, could possibly go longer, during the fall it's every 30 days. You need to keep in mind that every feeder is going to throw a different amount of corn per second(s)

I have 6 - 450# feeders running 4-5 secs twice a day. Usually last around 2.5 months. I have eliminator spinning plates, so no coons or squirrels stealing any corn anymore. Without the eliminators, I was lucky to get 4 to 5 weeks out of each feeder.

We have 11 spin feeders running, most are 350 lb'ers. In the off season they throw 3 secs twice per day (am and pm). In September we crank them up to 5 secs twice per day, at 7:15 am and 4 pm. We will fill 4 times per year, in January, April, August, and October.
We also run eliminator plates on all feeders. Without them, we'd be forced to fill more frequently. Amazing how much you lose to coons and wind without one.

We have eliminator plates but have them set for 6 secs twice per day.... We are overfeeding corn I think. I am going to lower the time but just curious why do you feed less in offseason?

Generally speaking, there are alot more natural groceries available in the spring and early summer. They don't hit the corn near as hard in our area as they do in late summer, fall, and winter.. And, as corn is generally just an attractant (not a nutritional supplement like free-choice protein), there's not as much need for it.

It all depends. I throw 2-3 seconds in the morning and evening during the fall. One thing I recommend is getting a moultrie motor because you put how many pounds of corn you put into it on the control pad and set your duration and it calculates how many days you have left. Also when it runs out and the days get to 0 it won't spin anymore so it doesn't keep wasting the battery charge.

Was low two weeks ago from filling in January- 5 seconds 2x a day. I think it will hold 750lbs
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

I have 3 600 lb feeders each on set for 3 seconds twice a day a day and I get about 50 days before refilling. Have 1 protein feeder and i'm lucky to get 30 days out of it.

My corn feeder is like drinking keg beer....it never goes empty. I usually fill twice a year. I'll usually top it off around Labor Day and once in the spring. I topped it off a few weeks ago.

I honestly don't know. I filled them all up when I put them in place and now just add a few bags here and there every time I'm down.

Fill when needed, using the eliminator spinner plate makes a difference. 4 seconds with the eliminator is far different than using a standard spinner for 4 seconds. The eliminator will pay for it's self in a short time.

This time of year we set all of our feeders to throw about a bag of corn a week. So the 300 pounders get filled every 6 weeks, easy to keep up with. Coons are not allowed to live around our feeders, and they cannot get to our crank-up feeders

Corn broadcast holds 500# and my Lamco holds 1500# of protein. They will last almost 5 months, but I try to go about every 3 months just to check on things.

Been running 300 pound corn feeders forever. Went to the lease last weekend to find 3 of 5 laying on the ground, due to storms. I'm going to replace all of them with 800 to 1000 pounders and directional slingers. Tired of filling up every 5 or 6 weeks.

I have had a few years when I had trouble getting to my feeders, too much rain around the weekends I had to fill them - so I invested in larger feeders that could go longer. I think I can get 2 months with 10 seconds a day now, longer with shorter off season throws.
I put out a ton of corn today, and probably need to do almost that again to fill up my current 3 feeders (800, 1000, and 1500-but I think they had a bit more than those numbers). I might try running one of the barrel feeders for bow season, but it will need filling almost every other week.
