I am new to the suppressor issue. What gov. restrictions and requirements, if any, are needed to suppress a firearm?

You have to pay the 200 dollars and fill out an ATF form 4 and then wait for your tax stamp. You can't posses the silencer until you receive the stamp which takes like 5 or more months.

Get yourself a trust setup and purchase away. If your looking to do this, I would suggest getting it all done and making your purchase/s before July. ATF just changed some rules that after that will make it a bit more of a hassle. I've currently got 2 and another 2 I'm waiting on stamps for as well as my SBR.
