I have an opportunity to hunt S/W Nebraska this coming year.

More specifically due east of Stockville, and due north of Cambridge, was wondering if anyone has hunted the area, what the deer population (whitetail/mule) is like. And any other information that might be helpful.

Thank you

I will be hunting west of there in Hays Center. They are loaded with mulies but not a lot of white tails. This will be my first year to hunt up there.

MR. T,

Have you hunted up there? Any pointers, suggestions?

Have hunted north of Haigler. Hunt the crops early in the morning and late evenings and the dunes during the day. They will bed down facing the sun and out of the wind. Very nice mule deer. Whitetails hang around the bottoms. Bring warm clothes. You have to draw again this year for muleys I believe.
