First year duck hunter, have had some mild success with some ducks I want to put on the wall. Shot a nice mallard drake and hen this weekend. Looking for some ideas on a mallard drake/hen mount. Please post up what ya got! Thanks in advance.

Glad you had a sense of humor....I just couldn't resist. I don't have a hen mounted but I do have my dog's first mallard and it looks a little like this one but it is layed more vertical like it's swinging around the corner. OH and congrats on first mallards.

I know they aren't Mallards but I would do something similar to this. I've got a pintail hen and drake that I'm going to have done similar.

I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

OH and congrats on first mallards. Thanks, I'm excited about them. I know they aren't Mallards but I would do something similar to this. I've got a pintail hen and drake that I'm going to have done similar. That looks really nice, and for the smaller ducks I think that looks great. I actually have a drake widgeon at the taxidermist right now, getting a flying mount on driftwood with it. I'm happy with how my sprigs turned out: That looks really cool! Got mine back last week Very nice. Went by the taxidermist today and talked it over with him. Going to do them flying on driftwood with some grass and moss on the driftwood. I wanted to be able to see the top of the wings of both of them, too pretty to have them folded up.

Don't worry though, if I ever shoot a rattlesnake I'm going to have it mounted with a chipmonk riding it. Just like this.
