our kitchen faucet has started to have a minor leak and needs to be replaced. The wife and I went to Home Depot yesterday afternoon to scope out a replacement but she was thinking about getting one of the "touch" type ... thinking it would be nice to bump it with the back of your dirty hand instead of having to get the handle messy...

anyone have any experience with these touch type??? looking for feedback, pro's or con's on these.

If it is just leaking a little you could just fix it. They are typically pretty easy to repair.

Push the old one with your elbow problem solved. I wouldn't want one of the touch ones.

If a fly lands on it, does it turn on?

I upgraded ours about 3 weeks ago, so far it has been great. I think we'll conserve alot of water by using it. No more leaving the water running while rinsing dishes or washing hands. Everyone in our house likes it. I say go for it, ours was a Moen.

after the wife did a little research and called around to some other places, she found that very few places (not big box stores) even sold the touch kind, which I found odd. She went back by HD and picked up a non-touch Delta which had the appearance she was wanting, brushed stainless.

Cast, I don't think a fly would cause it to turn on ... LOL
