That is about as bad as your neighbor starting a horizontal rig last Monday 300 yds from your fence line. On your best travel route for deer.

It will finally end next week.

All depends on how you hunt. It might help you. I know our neighbours run us a good many deer.

WE SAW DAYLIGHT BUCKS!!!!!!!!! First time this year, a small 4 point followed by a large 10 point. Girlfriend missed the 10 point though. I am happy to see some daylight movement though. For her reassurance since it was a clean miss how long do you guys think we should let it sit so he'll come back. She doesn't think he ever will now that he has been shot at at that feeder. I told her he would since it was a clean miss.

We all know that he will be back...the question in everyone's mind is "when." On more than one occasion I have shot a buck at a feed when there were more than one there. Most were back by the next day, some took a week, but they all came back at one time or another. Just my opinion.

Fired about fifty rounds unsuppressed, another 15-20 suppressed today between 1:30 and 3:30. Went over the hill to our food plot, about 350 yards away, there were 6 deer there when I got there and 15 when I left at dark. Also jumped a small buck on the hill about 150 yards from the backstop 30 minutes after I stopped shooting.

I don't advocate shooting up the country if you don't have to but it's not the huge deal people make it out to be. I saw three mature bucks this evening after all that, within 700 yards of my range. Normally I wouldn't do that during the season but I needed to shoot the .22 mag that got a new scope, the 5.56 with the suppressor mounted, and test the 7-08 at 250 yards.

My neighbor was target shooting last Sunday while I was working on a feeder. He was probably 250 yards from me and kept shooting until dark.

According to the game cam, I left that feeder at 2:28pm. First buck showed at 2:41pm.

Didn't hunt that stand because of the neighbor and that was a mistake.

I've shot deer that dropped at the feeder, just to have other deer come out 2-3 minutes after the shot. When I was younger I raced motorcross. I had a track and a ton of trails on my parents land. Could ride hard all day then go hunting that evening and still see deer.

I will tell her all these stories, thanks guys. So with every bad ( her missing the deer) comes something good. I thought I had their main travel routes figured out, and I probably did prior to the start of the season. However one of the benefits I have on my particular piece of property mixed in with all the other 10 acres tracts is there is only one more tract between me and the end of the subdivision( if you want to call it that) and on the other side of that tract is a high fence. The lady who owns this tract is 87 years old and hasn't been on the property in 9 years. When I grew up I had 17 acres we didn't hunt until we drove it last weekend up in Wisconsin that was surrounded by hundreds of acres of public hunting land. I remember the deer would go bed down in new areas that had no pressure at all. I think that's what is going on here since both bucks walked out from her property. So I can't hunt again until next week, tomorrow I am moving my cams over by her property and will be setting up my ground blind around their trail

WE FOUND IT!!!!!! Unfortunately the processor said the meat is no good anymore, it was guy shot and circles in a completely different direction. I'm glad we found it though, it is her first buck so I am getting it mounted for her. I'm not at a computer I can text a pic of someone wants to post for me or I can post it later.

Congrats to her on her first buck. It's a nice one and one that she can be proud of for years to come.

Thank you, she is very happy. The only thing she wishes differently was that it dropped right away so she could have texted me "big buck down" lol

As long as she does not text you, Mine's bigger than yours. My wife did that this year on a nice 10 point, I did not know whether to be proud or jealous of her....decided to be proud!
