I am leaving for Colorado County tomorrow. Has the rut started there yet?

The rut started around October 15,,, full swing Halloween week. We have seen a few good bucks with small doe. I'm guessing they are cycling late.We are seeing good deer coming to corn due to a below normal acorn crop.

Yes sir.. My thoughts also. But , surprisingly, good bucks are still showing up in daylight hours... For how long,, who knows ?

I used to see the older bucks roaming more in the first two weeks of Nov than in October when I lived there. I seen the same mature 8 point 3 yrs in a row in the same area about the same time each year after the rut. This was in W/NW area of the county east of the river.
