Was a success! I see bacon in the trap. Dead bacon plus a bonus pig who didn't feel like leaving when I showed up. Note the exit wound on what used to be a pigs face on the bottom left. Shot that one with the STW.

Awesome!! I'm a trapper at heart. Just the thought of trapping pigs gets me excited. If I lived where there was pigs I would never be able to hold a job. But I would sure be happy!!!

Good job. Hog trapping is addicting, and exciting. Six at a time is awesome.

I just used corn, heck it was only in the trap like 8 hours before I checked it. Missed like 15 more I saw on camera.

That's a lot of pigs in a trap. Nice job.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Nice take. Now the work begins. Got back to camp, woke my wife up and said we have work to do. Off we went to go shoot, load and clean those pigs. All in the cold and rain. Any woman that will help clean a hog is a winner .

Nicely done! That will make a bunch of sausage. I like to mix feral pig 50/50 with commercial pork shoulder (or jowl, whichever is cheaper) for breakfast sausage. I grind together, then mix with LEM breakfast sausage seasoning plus 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes and a Tablespoon of ground sage for every five pounds of meat. The 50/50 mix makes a nice lean sausage, but it still has enough fat to have flavor and not stick to the frying pan. I have a 20 pound meat mixer, so that's the size of batch I make. I also use the 5-lb sausage stuffer to fill plastic tubes. It's way easier to load the stuffer than it is to try to spoon sausage into the sleeves.

I'm starting to get very proficient in cleaning pigs. Knocked out the two big sows out in under an hour with my wife's help.

I remember seeing that thread. Definitely a cool way of getting it done.
