Only one young 8 came to feeders Saturday morning. Corn piling up under feeders. This last weeks cam pics were terrible compared to previous. Hogs are gone as well. My timing sucks.

Saw a real nice buck at 200 yards Fri night on some corn I put out but wouldn't turn sideways to get a good look. He was just outside of ears but tall. Cows found the corn too so he didn't feed any closer than 180 yards and then saw a group of does and left. Had 6 doe at feeder. Saw 8 does next night in groups of 4. Saw another buck, some hogs and another buck and some more doe. They were not hitting feeders at all though.
Buddy was hunting hogs at another feeder Fri night said he watched a 140ish buck for 10 minutes in the woods but would not come out.

On a positive note, our pond that had been completely dried up for over a decade is plum full now. Plus has a ton of bass in it that must have been washed in from someone's place north of us. I hunted under a willow on the edge of the pond one evening and saw tons of 4 to 6 inch bass jumping after flys!!!

I'm at a loss..... Last weekend I saw 5 different small bucks out cruising around, none of them were tailing a doe. This past Thursday thru Sunday night I saw lots of doe by themselves and no bucks at all. Usually I will see a ton of chasing at my place. Not this year. Nothing on camera and corn is piling up (which is normal) I have 3 groups of 30-40 pigs that frequent my place and i'm starting to wonder if they have them run out. Sure would like to see a buck chase a doe, regardless of size. I'm south of 82 between Nocona and Saint Jo

We saw 1 deer but not sure what it was. I have 6 feeders and a big bunch of pigs are showing up every night to eat the corn. I'm going to stop throwing in the afternoon.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

Well Sunday was just too windy. Ended up seeing a young 8 cruising. Walked over to another spot and snuck up on a doe and her twins. But sat evening, I saw briefly the biggest 8 point I've seen in years. Just standing at the edge of the woods by a feeder, sniffing the air. He was wide and tall. But never came fully out of the brush. Turned around and walked back in to thick stuff. He definitely got my heart pumping. Hopefully I'll be able to put my wife on him this weekend.

I pulled a card from a cam and this rub was 3 feet from the pen but cam was not aimed there. No bucks on cam. I found another fresh rub about 20 yards away and 3 fresh scraps under one tree. This is very late to see a fresh rub with wood scraps under the tree. This was not there last Sunday.

Could be getting a late start duckman... I've been scratching my head the past few weeks figuring out the rut.

I saw the complete opposite of you guys last week, if I saw a doe there was a buck close behind. Granted most the bucks I saw were 3yr olds, but I did see my shooter first light one morning hot on a doe's butt. I think the big boys are held up up in the thick. Especially with the ample groceries they have at there disposal

I do think a severe cold front would be really helpful about now though!

We saw some activity this past weekend. One buck chasing a doe. Several smaller bucks out roaming but not chasing does. Should be heating up now. New scrape close to feeder with two fresh urine marks.

My pops hunted this morning only saw a 4pt and a doe. Checked camera and we have a new pack of pigs visiting a feeder at night only. First pigs we've had on camera in months

I'm heading out to Sunset area on Saturday. Hopefully an evening hunt tomorrow. Cold weather should get them moving.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Went this afternoon expecting it to be great and didn't see a single deer. First time I've been skunked in a while. What's the matter with the deer, don't they know it's the rut and they're suppose to be out running everywhere? Going to Barton Chapel in Jack Co. Tomorrow morning and see what's happening out on the prairie. Definitely going to hunt this weekend, hope the winds not blowing 100 MPH!!

I was out yesterday morning for a two-day hunt. Saw three small bucks and two does. Beside the one doe at the feeder for a long time, the deer were not interested in them. Funny thing is those three bucks paid no attention to the doe at the feeder.
Checked cameras and figured I was wasting my time because I am bow hunting for my big buck so I packed it up and headed home. Sunday should be good though.
If you ain't hunting, you ain't living right.

Wind is going to be high on Saturday so we are going to wait until Sunday. Anyone seeing bucks chasing does? This cold weather should help. Last weekend I still saw a lot of acorns still on the trees.
