Well after number 7 went down 15 minutes later we got number 8 on video.

He's a lot closer than it appears. Video was shot with a phone and I waited until he got to about 25 yds.

DANGEROUS GAME: TEXAS STYLE

A few years ago I was coyote calling and had a pig come running into Lightning Jack. We shot that one and I switched over to Coon Fight thinking it sounded close to a hog and another one ran in and we dropped that one. Since that time I've accumulated several sounds but I've found that Boar Sparring works the best. When one comes in they are ready to fight; hair raised, jaws popping, growling. We have called in one group of about 20 and one single sow, the rest all big boars. This Saturday I decided to hunt on the ground instead of the deer stand without much luck, rattled, grunted, nothing. We walked close by to my main hog calling spot and hit the caller and within a minute or two number 7 ran in and my buddy dropped him at 20 yds. We decided to try another spot about 500 yds away where I've found them to bed down but as we were walking away he says he hears hogs squalling behind us in the direction of the one he just killed. We put the Hellfire in the tree in front of us to the left (you can see it in the beginning of the video). Cranked it full blast on Boar Sparring and within 60 seconds we heard this big pi$$ed sucker charging straight for us. What you can't hear is me saying are you on him? are you on him? My hearing is terrible and my buddy was saying YES YES YES SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT! I waited until I felt he was close enough and shot him in the face with the 243 and a 95 grain SST. It did the job.

No I don't want to mess with YouTube. Is it possible to post it without?

Been down in the hollows several times an drawn inta the sounds of hog fights... Miss them days... Last of hog on now..

I think we are averaging about 50% success on a hunt. Meaning we may make 3-4 different stands per hunt and call in one 50% of the hunts. The key is knowing where they bed down. I don't think they will travel a long way to the call because every one we have called came in within a few minutes max.

Have you had any success with or tried a piglet in distress call? That's the only hog sounds I have.

No I haven't. It might work on a sow or something but Boar Sparring works well. You can download it off Foxpro's site.
