I've been invited to go Mule deer hunting there this year and curious to know what to expect? Not sure exactly where in Swisher county yet. Friend of my brothers, property. What kind of terrain? Are there many mulies out there and how big typically? This is my first mulie hunt, so I'm excited anyway.

Most likely you'll be hunting the eastern side of the county. Near where the caprock drops off. I haven't hunted there but the folks there around Tulia talk about some real monsters coming out. Best of luck to you.

Found out last night it's South/South East of Tulia, where we'll be hunting. Looked at Mapquest satellite view and lots of crop circles, so the deer should be healthy and taste good. Yes Bbear, it's looks to be close to where the caprock drop offs. Anybody else know anything about the area and quality of deer?

Deer quality should be good. With the mix of crops and the caprock, they do grow well out there. Density isn't all that big but there are deer to be had out there.
