Whats the best ammo for this that will get enough penetration for a clean kill? I know its not a 300 win mag but its all I have to work with. Im also wondering what kind of sights I should run for early morning and dusk? One other thing Im worried about is the stock seems kind of cheep should I get a bell and carlson?

I think that you need to stop hunting with varmint calibers. Use enough gun!

Its a 37" bronze cannon with 1.5" bore that I want to bore out to ~1.70 so I can shoot golf balls. Any one know where to get a cheaper carriage built (less than $500) or the bore work done?

If you can't find a gunsmith to do the bore, you might want to check into heavy equipment machining. Some of these guys carry portable equipment to work on pin bores on large equipment. That might be just the ticket for this.

I'm going to need some pliers and a set of 30 weight ball bearings.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.
