Anyone have any luck in Hamilton county or surrounding areas. Seems like the rut is about to begin. I am located in between hico and Hamilton. Anyone seeing anything worth mentioning? It was a better opener than last year but still a little slow.

Saw bucks locked down with does so that explains why it was a little slow. Saw young bucks and young does.

I'm in comanche county so not too far from you. Before the rain we had deer killing our feeders and now not so much. Last weekend saw 8 young bucks and just 2 doe. Everything just passed through, didn't stay around long.

Same in Hamilton, not paying much attention to feeders, too much food and other things on their mind. Deer we saw were out in flats/fields.

Yeah the only deer I saw were just passing through. Hopefully it will pick up a little
