So I got some last minute land and it has very good derr signage. I put out a feeder this last Sunday and some cams. I went out there to check today and most of the corn is still around and not anything on the cam. Is there any really good attractant I can use last minute to help them find the feeder? Is any of that Buck Rage or similar liquid stuff that I could pour on the ground worth it?

Nothing honestly beats corn for attracting deer. But in the last 10 days or so the acorns have started dropping at an incredible rate on my place and the corn consumption has gone way down. As soon as the acorns start to sour, the deer will come to the feeder.

Corn and time. Alfalfa can be hit and miss. Buddy feeds it in the hill country and they eat the heck out of it. We tried for months and they wouldn't touch the stuff in the feeder we made and the stuff we put out on the ground and in bottom/top of 55 gallon drums they drug out and slept in it.
It's hell eatin em live

Yes it is, We went and checked it out not expecting too much and absolutely loved it. It actually has trees, a creek that runs through it and some what of rolling terrian. We actually liked it so much we are on a month to month lease until we can confirm water and electricity and then we are going to buy it.

Ok thanks everyone, We did quite a bit of work out there Sunday so I am guessing it will take some time after all the traffic for them to come back also.

feed a lot of corn when you get there and not just in one spot... run a line as far as you can see down a trail and then down another... anything less than 4 bags the night before a hunt then your not trying

Use BIG & J. It has been VERY successful for me. If they are around, they will come!

molasses - scent will carry much further than corn alone. corn trails fanning out from feeder - they'll find faster.

If they don't hit the corn they won't hit anything else. Give it time and be patient.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Indian Corn.! As soon as the deer find it, they will stay until it's all gone. Works every time for me.
I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

Use BIG & J. It has been VERY successful for me. If they are around, they will come! Yep. Anywhere I've thrown out the Big & J BB2 the deer find it. We mainly use it for our trail cams but I'll throw it out in a field sometimes and deer are all over it. I have 0 complaints on the Big & J.

On a good note, we did see a bunch of doe coming out from our property as we were pulling in, from the direction of my feeder. The ground was still covered in corn though.

They knew where the feeder was when you where putting it up. No different than you coming home and the wife has bought all new furniture, you will know it. You cant expect them to change their routine in that short of time IMO. Patience as was mentioned, they will come around. Having does is the best "bait" you can have for bucks, so be thankful for that if bucks are your goal.
Once a doe comes in and the others see it is all good, you will be buying mucho corno from then on...

Of course bucks would be nice, but I am down to my last few pounds of venison. So those does looked really good too.

If saw a bunch already, no doubt you should be able to fill up your freezer. I guess having it for such a short time, you don't have a food plot? I would depend on that over a feeder anyday.

So the tract I have is very small, 10 acres right now and am going to talk to the lady that owns the 10 next to me to see if she will sell hers also. How much land do I need to have a productive food plot? Also the land is basically all rock.
