I just bought a Barnett Jackal crossbow today
I was wanting to get opinions on what gram tips I should get
It will be used primarily for deer hunting, maybe some hogs
I know I will need target tips to sight it in and get used to it, then broadheads for hunting
I know nothing about what gram tips work best
I hope I am at least a little more than clear as mud
I am new to crossbows and know only what I have read

Go to their website and see if they have a forum. Then see what the feedback is from their users. I have an Excalibur and they recommended their own fixed blade broadheads, of course. But they shoot very true.

Barnett crossbows come with 100 gr field tips on the bolts as do most. Most manufactures that include field tips with their packages use 100gr tips going for more speed. I get better accuracy with 125 gr heads with my crossbow, speed is down a little but who cares with better accuracy.

Excalibur crossbows come with 150gr field tips and recommend 150gr broadheads. hoI like the 150s but there are not many choices for that weight broad head.

For broadheads I just use the same thing for the last 8 years, G5 Montecs. Fly like a field tip, never fail to open and easy to sharpen, one has been through 3 hogs and a rattle snake and is ready for it's next critter.

I like NAP Spitfire 100 grain broad heads. They shoot same point of impact as my field tips and do a great job on animals
