Killed this buck last week on day 5 of our hunt. Saw quite a few bucks and passed on a few nice ones before pulling the trigger. This was a public land DIY hunt.

A few of the bucks that we saw

The buck I was able to tag

Dang, I envy you. Both for the deer and for the fact that you're in good enough shape for a hunt like that. coffee

I don't think I could have passed on that one standing next to the tree. Congrats on the success.

Congratulations!!! Some of the best hunts I have been on are the ones where I can pass on some great bucks knowing that there is the chance of something a lot bigger out there. Doesn't really matter if I find him or not for it to be a great hunt!!!!

Thanks guys! We were in Colorado during the 2nd season rifle hunt. This area took quite a few points to draw, but was worth the wait. We had a great time, saw some awesome scenery, put a lot of miles on the boots and had a successful hunt.

Here are a couple of the photos from the area. Most were taken after a long hike to get to vantage point to glass
