I am particularly interested in their uncooked link sausage. Did you like it? How was it seasoned?

I'll be hunting in Archer City and live in Richardson, so if any of you have a processor you like that is generally between those 2 spots I'd be interested in hearing about it. I usually only get steaks, ground meat and uncooked link sausage. I used Kuby's last year and didn't like their uncooked link sausage, so I'm looking for a different processor.

Thanks y'all

You may want to try Cinnamon Creek (formerly Syracuse). It's near the Fort Wort Cabelas. I've never had their uncooked link sausage, but everything I have had has been top notch. Two recommendations are the bacon wrapped backstrap filets and the chipotle Monterrey Jack link sausage.

Hunters Choice flavoring is a little bland, but the price is right. Cinnamon Creek/Syracuse has been doing 90% of my deer for about 20 yrs. The Jalapeno cheese summer sausage, Joeys jerky and the Italian links are the best there is. They are a little pricey but worth it. They are off 35W near Alliance airport. I generally take my freezer meat doe to a local to help the local market and take the buck, if harvested, to Cinnamon Creek/Syracuse for the more extravagant items that they specialize in.

All ready

Sounds like you drive through Muenster? Fischer's? Or the newer place on the north side of 82 has big sign out. The Germans are good at sausage! I hunt the same area only closer to Holliday off 82 and I wouldn't go anywhere but Whitakers in Iowa Park. It would be more out of the way for you, but I go out of my way to use them. Never had a poor product or experience with them in years and years. My whole extended family LOVES their jalapeno bacon burger....the best!

Secede!!

Thanks. I don't drive through Muenster on my way home from the lease, but it doesn't look like it would be that far out of the way, either. I've heard a lot of good things about Fischer's, so I think I'll go with them for my first deer this year and see how I like it.
