Picture of my first Pronghorn that I took this year. Grossed around 74", net 71 5/8". Hunting in the experimental area south of Stratford, TX. Super fun hunt. First place he was, we could only get to about 550yds. Ended up pushing him a little trying to get closer, but all he did was go lay down in the middle of a wheat field. Just enough of a rise and a center pivot allowed for a 6-800 stalk to get to within 240 yards, where the 280AI did the work.

Congratulations. Nice to hear of the long stalk. Those are always a big part of what makes it a memorable hunt!!!

Thanks guys. Definitely a fun hunt and an animal I will be pursuing again in the future. Would hope to hunt one every year, but I also want to start in on my Super Slam, so have a lot of other hunts to save for. Trying to decide if I'm going to Newfoundland for Woodland Caribou and Canada Moose or Alaska for Sitka Blacktail and/or Barren Ground Caribou next fall. Probably neither since I think I've got my mother-in-law to run off the guys leasing her ranch in Webb County. But who knows, oil prices keep falling and I might not be able to afford to do any of it.

Euro mount is back. Trying to figure out where and how to set it up. This was my first attempt. I like it, but the wife thinks the cholla is "too much".
