!This is the first Raccoon I have seen our on our place and I have been hunting on here for over 20 years. We only have mesquites we do not have but a few real trees this is crazy to see them out here. He is a pretty big one at that! I first thought the badgers had come out in this area like many of our others but the stripped tail gives this guy away.

I have seen groups of raccoons in areas where there is no tree or brush taller than 6 ft. They are adaptable suckers.

I didn't think there was any place in Texas that didn't have Coons.

My panhandle place doesn't have many, but the few I do have I am bound to exterminate.

OP, get after 'em. Don't let them get a foothold! elmer

I'm with Oren on this one. I've lived here since 1980 and have never seen a raccoon in this county. Not sure it's a good find though grin

When I came back in late September from NW Kansas thru Liberal, Perryton, Canadian, Childress, Paducah, etc. I saw dead coon(s) at just about every creek crossing or bridge for some reason this year. Never seen it in the previous 3 yrs though.

I hope so since we have both hogs and coons in Western Pecos County also.
