Judging by the shorter tines and the way the beam turns up a bit on his right side, I would say that he has an injury or damaged that side during velvet. If so he may not ever grow that nontypical droptine/base point again. Need more pics but he appears to be older than 3 to me.

I wouldn't pass. I think he's 4 1/2 and won't grow that drop again. He may have more time length next year but probably no non typical points

If he is truly 3.5 like you say then yes. I'm with stx, we need more pics because he looks older.

If I knew for sure he was 3.5 I'd pass, and would pass if 4.5, but I don't know your situation.

If that buck was on my place I'd give him a pass this year. If he's your idea of a real trophy then I hope you get him. I would guess his age at no more than 4.5
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

I'd take him out if I saw him but I don't have a deer lease it's a hog lease this year. But am I crazy, the stick coming off the tree gives me the idea that may not be a drop. Could be wrong.

That is a drop. Got other pics of him, all at night. This is a secluded area with no traffic. Feel pretty good about the neighbors not shooting him either.
