Trying to decide on an easy homemade portable 2-3 Man duck blind to build. Any ideas or pics of projects would be helpful and appreciated. I've always hunted on private leases but this year I will be going public. Not sure on making it with PVC, Conduit, or just Hog Fence and hinges. All the projects on the internet I've found look like crap or are not portable enough. Any ideas or suggestions on whats worked best for you?

Help Please

Just get a cheap dove stool and sit in cover.

As bad as I hate to say this, This ^^^^ in my opinion is best. I had a severe back injury 15 years ago. Layouts hurt my back. I use a camp net and just layout flat. Well as flat as a fat dude can get anyway.

Yeah good luck with that. Always turned out to be more of a hassle.

Layout blind will get the job done, I use them as a vary last resort, why mess with them if you don't have to, and I can't drink my coffee out of them very good.

What about the Avian-X A Frame blind? Very portable and easy to hunt out of. Will hold 3 guys comfortably too.

I use mine as a priority if possible. The easiest concealment there is Imo. The ducks can't see your movement(like running a jerk string). And if you're Garrett you can get a good nap in if it's slow. I have a FA ultimate hunter. Doubles as a backpack if needed and literally takes only about 20 seconds to set up.

We hunted out of our Northern Flight Layouts last season 90% of the time.

I really like hunting out of a layout.

Portable
Good concealment when brushed in
Comfortable if you get a good one
Great visibility

We have a pretty good system. Two guys grab decoys and two guys set up blinds.....about the time the spread is done the other two have the blinds set up and a gun in each one. Then you get to lay down and take a nap or look at stars.

layout blinds are the new mojo...when mojos came out they worked great and then over time they began flaring birds...layouts worked great until everyone started using them non stop and now those piles of grass at the waters edge means danger.

Attention rickym, this is not a troll post, just a good hearted fun type of post

I'm late to the reply. I use about as bare-bones a "layout" blind as you can get, but it isn't exactly luxury.

I bought an ALICE Pack Frame ( like this one) off eBay last year to help me carry the load on walk-in hunts. I strap my decoys and whatever else I need to that, unload, and then throw the frame back on when I'm ready to sit down. The shelf on the back works great to keep the pack upright, and the pack frame works just like a chair except I think it's a little more comfortable.

That's if I'm on the ground. If I'm in water I'll pack in a dove stool or marsh seat. Either way I just brush/grass in and wait it out.

I went on a hunt last year where we didn't even sit in any kind of blind. We just sat next to a bush and were really still. Shot a 4 man limit (in the face) in less than an hour. We're pro's like that though.
