I am going on the Otc elk hunt and was curious if anyone rented big coolers? I have a couple medium ones but would prefer one big one.

I would only use it if I shoot an elk. Anyone in dfw rent them?

I have 3 Igloo 120 qt that I just used for our elk hunt. I had replaced some hinges an latches for the 10th time and just ordered some new ones with stainless latches and hinges. You're welcome to borrow my old ones if you like. I will have them cleaned and ready to go by Sunday or so. Still have some elk I'm processing, in them. You'll need more than one if successful, 2 minimum.

Cut a peice of nylon ratchet strap and place it I between latch and cooler. Make sure it's big enough for the screws to go through.

Cleric you can borrow my grizzly 150. It will fit a boned out elk easily

What I did on my hunt bought small chest freezer, hooked up a converter to truck battery, run chord to freezer in pick up bed, plugged in. No ice needed, frozen on way home. No elk used for storage up and back.

Good men around here! up

But your cooler rental is a great idea! That could be a pretty good side business for someone. If Walter sees this I bet he will start doing it.

It makes a lot of sense.

It's hard to justify the expense for one trip. The problem is the usage would be stacked. Hell if more people were interested I would buy one just to rent smile

Now for the sad part. His cooler was almost too big for my truck frown
