Just depends on the weather, the moon and the rut. Typically 40 minutes before first light til 10 and then 330 til dark. If it's rainy or foggy I'll hunt all day same for full moon and rut.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

All depends on where I am, what the deer are doing, what I am hunting with, how I am hunting, etc.
Most the time in Texas, I hunt until around 9:30 and go back out around 4:30. In Kansas, a little longer during the early season and all day during the rut.

For me it depends on what part of the country, I am hunting in. West daylight to 10:00 / 3:00 to dark. East longer is better. Maybe just be a mental thing, or I do like to hang out at camp more out West with the family. My dad always says, the best time to kill a deer is when he steps out.

Early season it all depends on what my cameras are telling me. November, ill hunt until 11am then back in the stand by 1pm to dark.

Depends on the time of the season on my place. Early in October most hunts are over by 8:30 in the morning. Afternoons are not much better with very late movement. Cooler temps and those times can be effected greatly for me. This morning I had bucks in front of me till 9:20.

I'm in the stand by 5:45/6:00 right now and I'm usually thinking about climbing down by 9:30 unless there is a lot of animal movement

Depends on what the cameras are showing. Also, if other memebers are at the lease I like to give it an hour after they head back to camp in case they spook anything. Like to head back to stand around 1-2pm

With my 4 year old boy and 7 year old girl, we can sit in a blind for about an hour before they demand that we take a ride. With just my boy, we can go 2-3 hours if I'm properly equipped with 25+ books, an ipad, 10 pounds of snacks and drinks, and a portable potty. If I leave the kids with the spare rib, I hunt until I get the "where are you" text, to which I reply "I'm on the way."

For me it depends on the weather and wind, or until I get tired of sitting.

Hunt as long as you till you get monkey butt or your feet are going to fall off. Then get out of the stand and sit on a T in the road or get high as you can and glass.
Hunts not over till you put the gun in your case.

At my lease normally to 9:30, sometimes 10. Last 2 out of 3 bucks I killed were at 10:40 am though only because I was waiting on my ride to pick me up at a friends ranch. Otherwise I would have missed them.
Last year, it was very foggy so I left a stand a few times since I couldn't see anything past 20 yards. At 10:15 I was about 200 yards from stand and I see buddy parked there to pick me up. I missed his call and started walking back but he didn't see me so he left. I got back in stand waiting for him and a doe runs out at 200 yards followed by a buck, then another buck, and another and one more. 5 minutes later this old sucker comes out same place nose to ground having a hard time keeping up with the chase. I shot him at 10:45 am at 210 yards just as fog lifted. Talk about lucky.
