I am taking my two girls on a Antlerless/Spike Youth hunt at the Chaparral in November. They have never shot a deer before and are really excited to hunt. Has anyone been on a Youth hunt at the Chaparral and what compartments are the better picks to see lots of deer? Are their blinds good to hunt or should I hunt from a pop-up blind?

My daughter did a javelina hunt there several years ago. I can't remember the compartment we were in. Saw several deer (but no javis). I would suggest hunting in the elevated box blinds along the senderos they have and put out corn about 100 yards in both directions on the sendero (if the let you on the deer hunts). We did that and had deer eating the corn.
