Anyone recommend some hearing protection for my kids want something that will protect the sound of the rifles but still have them hear me they shoot great as long as no one around them shoots makes them jump. They wear ear muff style now but not electronic. Any suggestions would be great thanks

Have them wear both plugs and muffs. They will get a bit more protection when both are fully engaged and the plugs will help protect if the muffs are off or askew.

No recommendations on witch ones work and any to stay away from Having owned a set of Walker's Game Ear muffs, you cannot beat the Howard Leights for the money. I like them better than the WGE and at a third of the price. The biggest thing the ensure is that you're getting actual hearing PROTECTION and not just amplification. There are a lot of muffs that provide amplification only, and sometimes the package is not clearly marked.

Thanks for replies never thought about doubling up. But the electronic seem like they have a bit more protection and allows them to still hear witch is a good thing especially with an 8 year old. She shoots a 243 but hates when people next to her shoot makes her jump and her shoot is off at the range.

I absolutely LOVE my Howard Leight Sport Impacts. Best ear pro for the money, IMO.
