Cell service at the deer lease is bad. Wondering what is a cheap way to go to boost service or to get internet service another way?

Look at air cards from the carrier with the best cell tower in the area.

Look at air cards from the carrier with the best cell tower in the area. That stuff costs so much, even Rab would choke on it. There is an old thread on here a couple months ago that discussed active cell boosters. I would find that and check with those folks. I think we solved this problem back then.

Boosters have to have a usable signal to work and generally help more indoors, they can't boost something that isn't there. Payne is right, if one carrier provides better coverage in that area get a hotspot from them. In some areas you are just out of luck with cell service.

I had my family's phones with different providers, At&t, T-Mobile and Verizon. Verizon was the best but still had issues with calls sometimes and data/internet was non-existent. This in Red River county about 2 miles from OK border. May have to look at satellite service but don't use it that often and don't want that monthly expense.

Spotty coverage at camp, but most blinds have full coverage which is good when you need help. The 2 way radios just don't work in the hills.

Is there any signal at all, a cell booster will be you answer. You need the antenna to be as high as possible...as in buying extra cable (good cable) and mounting it on a pole.
Alternatively, if there is a public road, with power lines, you could try getting you carrier to install a micro cell, which is really a small Cell Booster. Find they system with the best coverage in the area. You don't ask for a booster, you get everyone you know, with that carrier, to call the carrier and complain about a dead spot in their new house, weekend home, retirement place (I would not use the words hunting cabin). They track signal complaints with a GIS system and enough complaint can trigger a quick engineering study.

I think my Wilson was $199, but I spent another $100 an outside antenna and cable. I have had it about 4 years now and it works like a champ. There are a couple of choices and since our cabin is really small, I went with a booster that was really designed for cars or RVs. It give me about a 20' radius of coverage.
