I have 6 year old Registered Chocolate Male with a championship pedigree. I am VERY interested in finding someone that might want to breed their female with my male. Terms can be discussed but i have been breeding him with a friends black lab and all we are getting out of them are black puppies. anyone interested feel free to comment here or message me!

what is your reason for breeding him? Is he a hunt test or trial dog?

Most breed to try to improve the breed, whether it's a birddog, or a lab. Breeding for color alone typically doesn't do this.

I want to breed him because im looking at getting another pup for my wife and my kids. His pedigree is coming out of HC Watermark and Hurricane Hannah. They are both hunt test and trial dogs and i believe 1 if not both have received their senior hunter status since I bought the pup in 2011 id have to check with their owner on that. I dont have the time for to do the trials, I bought him because i wanted a good dog to go hunting with and spend time with when i was single. Now im married and my Wife and kids need one of their own. I threw in the color thing because i am hoping to be able to get a different color if you know what I mean.

my .02, unless both dogs have some kind of outstanding qualities, hunt, ect,for most its not a viable thing, then you have the health issues to think about, you might try looking around to find the type of dog you are looking for

Like some of the other suggestions, it is good to take your dog through the health tests (hips, elbows, eyes/PRA) and expect the same from the other party. However, this gets expensive (> $500) and you might be ahead by just looking for another puppy with the characteristics you want.

My $0.02,

Jay
