Morning only for me (7am now, but that changes as daylight gets later, til the time change). Throw alot in the morning.

My theory this year is, why throw corn 30 minutes before dark? The deer will just wait 30 minutes then come in when it's dark (& safe).

In the morning I set it as close to first shooting light at possible (I adjust it about 3 times during the season as the days get shorter).

In the afternoon, 4:30.

7:20 am and 6 pm right now. During the season, I'll change my afternoon time to about 4:30 pm.

During November?
7AM and 4:20PM

as a general rule…approx 30 min before actual sunrise and 1 hour before sunset (about 1 hour 20 min before dark)

Do you already have a feeder (or feeders) going off? If so I wouldn't mess with the times.

I just set up a feeder where the deer are known to be very nocturnal. I only set a morning time for 10 seconds of corn. I don't see any reason to throw corn in the afternoon when they will just wait till dark to eat and then I end up spooking them off when I try to leave the stand. Maybe that's the wrong way to look at it, but ill see if its working in a couple of weeks after I check the cams.

7 and 4:45 Fall time year round. The deer don't pay attention to a time change. They are on the same 24 hr clock year round. I never change mine so to keep them on the same pattern. But to answer your question, mine would be throwing at 8 and 5:45 current time.

Pretty dang close to what we do.

What I posted in a previous feeder post:
For us it is 15 - 25 minutes before sunrise and one hour before sunset.
There is no really good rule for all of Texas, Orange differs from Dalhart by a good 30 minutes.
I hunt in 4 different counties and set the time accordingly, it is simple, just google sunrise/sunset for your area.

As whitetail are crepuscular for the most part, they follow light/dark as their clock. So I set my feeders accordingly.

I have mine set to go off about an hour before daylight during hunting season. That's when I like to be in my blind and there is nothing like seeing them out there when the sun starts to come up and trying to figure out if they are bucks or does, and if they are shooters or not!!!!

In October, Sunrise in the morning, 5:30 in the afternoon. I don't bow hunt so I am just getting them ready for gun season. Every week I change the afternoon time so that on opening day it will go off at 4:30.

I hand throw about 3 to 5 lbs each sit depending on setup and honestly get more deer eating that than at the feeder. Plus you stop a lot of deer that won't go to the feeder to eat. Guess my scent smells good on corn.

Do you just walk out to an open space in front of your blind and hand toss the corn? I've never tried this, but can see where it might work if there are no deer there already that I might scare off. Currently I have a path cleared through the woods that takes me as far around the back side of my feeder as I can go so I don't disturb anything that might be out there already.

7:00am - 3 seconds
7:30am - 3 seconds

noon - 3 seconds
4:30pm - 3 seconds
6:30pm - 3 seconds

I'll change the times and duration as it gets colder/dark earlier.. try to keep at least a little corn on the ground throughout the day. in the winter I'll set it for 3 seconds at midnight also.

Depends on setup. We normally don't have deer holed up at our feeders. I will throw it right in front of the feed pen to about 40 yards of the blind. And then any roads you have visible from the blind. I get deer eating it I would never see if I didn't as they would cross without ever stopping. Just leave a long trail and they'll smell it. It's how it is done in S. Tex and can work anywhere.

7:30 am and 4:30 pm for about 3 or 4 seconds each throw. Sometimes I might do a midday throw, but at my place I've never noticed it influencing any more daytime movement. If bucks are out during the day, they're trailing or chasing, not eating. IMHO.
