Has anyone had any experience with the Texas hunter safety course that is now offered online? My wife wants to pursue it - according to TPWD, if your over 17 you can take the course online and become certified. They list a few recommended third party companies that you can go through for the certification - do any of you know someone who has gone this route? If so, any feed back, good or bad? These are the listed places:

http://www.hunter-ed.com/texas/
http://hunteredcourse.com/state/Texas/
http://www.huntercourse.com/usa/texas/
https://www.texashuntered.com/

Thanks!

I took mine on line a couple years ago. Fast, easy, no hassle whatsoever.

My daughters did it online and it took about 30 minutes after doing a little studying.

I've done both and I will say this. If you have hunted all your life, take the online, it is easier but less informative in my opinion. If you have someone that is a new hunter or is inexperienced, I highly recommend taking the course in person. Way more interaction and very informative for someone who is new to the sport.

X2

Not much in the online version to qualify someone ready to hunt alone. Lots of muzzle loader questions from what I remember confused2
