I definitely see the very similar antler structure, but are you sure that's the same deer? I just don't see 7-8 years of age on him, assuming he's 1.5-2.5 years old in the 2008 pic.

Same deer, same stand....just a messed up camera mad

Date doesn't work on a few of mine. The 2008 pic is from this year, just a one year difference.

Nothing in OUR guidelines would allow us to take him, but I would in a heart beat if that's all he's done in a year. Take him while the meat is still tender up

What are you gonna do. confused2

Sometimes they jump to something better, sometimes not.

I always give them a pass being that young and see what happens.

Almost looks like 2 photos over a couple days! Face is the only thing that looks "older"

Here's a 7 pointer that I'm considering taking if I see him.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Thanks, I always loved that picture. He ruled the roost while he was around, not much to look at, but he backed down to no other deer and was a regular feeder maid.

Giving them age didn't work well for this guy either:

The Life and Times of Fivel The Buck

Dust to dust, ashes to ashes. Fivel hasn't been seen since 2013 and I didn't shoot him because he had broken a mainbeam the one time I did see him that season. I assume he has gone to the big protein feeder in the sky.

I had a big bull of a six like that. Dude was flat out mean and I have no doubt did lots of breeding. A buck within 100 yards of him was taken care of in short order, their age or antler size didn't matter to him. Finally killed him, never been more proud of a cull than that one.
