I have a couple buds from MN that are coming down to duck hunt this January. What licenses do they need? I saw there is a non-resident & a "special" non-resident, but I couldn't find anything on tpwd's website defining what the difference is, other than $200! We'll be hunting the coast. Thanks for the help!

My dad's from MN just came down last weekend for teal. Just get 5 day non resident, as well as all the required endorsements/stamp for migratory. They can do it online ahead of time and print, selecting the 5 day date range you want the license to be for. If they already have the federal stamp on a MN license, have them bring that license along.

Do you know what the required endorsements are?

You shouldn't need APH if you are only hunting the coast. Right?

Last year was my first year hunting down here. I wasn't sure what to buy so I went to Bass Pro & asked them what exactly I needed. I just found my licenses from last year and there was no APH endorsement on there. With that said, sometimes the guy/gal behind the counter isn't the most knowledgeable about regs so I mighta been hunting without the proper endorsements. That'll never happen again! On top of asking you guys, I also emailed the TPWD & asked them what licenses & endorsements we need. Hopefully between asking all you & them, I'll get a clear answer
