Has anyone tried the grass from J. M. Stern? Apparently it's where avery and cabelas ect. get theirs from. I really hate spending 30 bucks on a couple little bundles when I can order it here for 50 bucks for 25 pounds..

I've ordered from them. I ordered 25 pounds of their untreated and spray painted it. I think it was a little over $100 after taxes and shipping can't really remember. You're best bet is to order it with a group of people because it's a lot of material.

It's a ton of material. It will do 5 layouts and a dog kennel and still leave you with extra.

I got their various colors and thought they were great. Though your price sounds about half what I paid, I'm pretty sure it was over $100 delivered. Though for what your are getting it is about half the price of the bundles you are talking about.

I may have been looking at an older price sheet, the link I clicked on was from a thread a few years ago.

i oedered 2 big rolls last year - stuff you buy at Cabelas etc is way too high-avtually I use less grass and more bamboo sheets for body and natural vegetation in surroundings- looks better anyway

You have to consider the shipping. I'm still using (and have tons left) some from Academy I got a while back on clearance.
