We are fired up here boys and girls!!! Doing a big scout trip in the morning. Hopefully this front doesn't hurt us!
I will be posting pictures of our hunts and reports here in this thread!
Good luck everyone! I know you coastal boys will destroy em. North Texas ain't looking too bad at the moment either!

Wetland I have access to in the morning had about 200 birds on it this afternoon. Should be good if they don't all leave tonight with the north wind.

unfortunately skipping Colo. Co teal this year...maybe snows and specks later...
but doves are good...maybe next year I'll be in a green rice-field...
covered w/deet, sweating and wet...

Left with 0 in the boat and 1 opportunity. This was our first time at this lake and we will be trying a new spot next time. Guy down the way was shooting all morning so..... Sounded good.. Also met my first warden. Great guy and much smoother than I thought when I saw him pull up

Nothing flying, not even one. Shot one dove that was stupid enough to fly over while we were packing up. Had 100 or so geese in the field over but wouldn't budge. No birds and checked by game warden= typical early teal season. Oh well, I tried.

Where are all the pics? I was dove hunting East of Temple (Lott, TX) Doves were flying everywhere but only saw one group of Teal buzz by. They sure love those MOJO Dove Decoys. Had a GW come out after watching us for 30 minutes. Very Nice Guy. I think he was more interested in finding you Early Teal Guys. But I don't think they have made it that far South Yet.

We actually hunting Milwood lake in Arkansas! Our Texas lake didn't have any teal! So we adapted!
