Double clutching. Great.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm shredding in Throckmorton this weekend. I'll watch out for chicks. Out there is the only place I hear bob whites anymore.

Just talked to a fellow in NW Okla. that flushed a covey of birds smaller than your thumb two days ago. I'm guessing they have had more good recent rains than we have out west but still a great sign.

Don't know if it's 2 full clutches or hens that lost a clutch starting over but I've seen fresh small chicks this week

Been seeing lots of coveys in Goliad County. Saw them in early July and now again early last week, with very young, small birds in the coveys. Some could barely fly. Saw 4 coveys like that when shredding roads. Getting rains again today. I have been traveling a couple of days per week and seeing a lot of Bobwhites on the roadsides feeding in the freshly mowed ROW. I can not remember the last time I saw this many Bobs driving the highways.

I had some great hunts in Goliad County.

I got a first hand report about new covey around an abandon house where we didn't see them last year, and a couple along the road. He said that the weeds were almost too thick to hunt.

Seeing mostly juvenile or mature birds now but was covered in young birds of all size's. It's been a long time since I've seen a population explosion like this.
