TCB-yes there are! We are very excited for what this season brings, lots of water plus good vegetation coverage is showing some spectacular antler growth!

Please be advised that the picture of the HUGE skull cap mule deer was NOT taken with Double B Outfitters, nor was it taken in the United States. This was a deer taken in Sonora, Mexico!!!!! This photo is being portrayed as a deer taken with Double B, and being used without permission. This particular hunt in no way, shape, form or fashion had ANY connection with Double B. This is very disrespectful to this hunter and the outfitter he has been using for 10+ years to hunt with in Mexico. Not to mention false advertising.

Yep. The hunter is a friend of mine, and I am livid that an outfitter would rob photos from another outfitter. This is about as unethical as you can get.

Guys,
I apologize, in no way was I trying to be misleading. We were given that picture by the landowner and told that it had been shot on that ranch. We were unaware that the pictures were from anywhere other than this ranch. This is a new piece of property that was picked up this year. Again, it was not my intention to mislead anyone.

I think I am going to have to ask who the landowner is because, I personally don't believe that to be the case. Greg Badgett/Doube B Outfitters had this picture of Lee and his deer from Mexico and knew that is EXACTLY where the deer was harvested. Unless Greg Badgett is the actual landowner, this picture was obtained and used without permission. Lee is not aware of knowing any landowner from Cochran County, nor has he EVER hunted in Cochran County. Not only was this picture used here on Texas Hunting Forum by Double B Outfitters, it was also the solo photo used on Facebook for advertising this hunt. And, for Greg/Double B to be using it on more than ONE website.......well, that speaks for itself.

I too apologize to you if in fact the Landowner presented you these pictures to entice you to take on the chore of outfitting it. It's sounds as if you might have got ahold of a bad landowner. Surely he couldn't be confused with what has been taken off his place. I have also found out the deer on the wall probably didn't come off of the place either even though it did come from the same county. You might want to ask the moderators to remove this thread before your reputation is blasted. The world gets extremely small when it comes to the World Wide Web!

Gentleman, sad thing is it happens more and more all the time. Everyone wants to be a outfitter, but only a few are true outfitters. Honesty is always the best policy !

Ditto above. This is wrong. Original poster has 8 posts and is on here pimping out a very misleading ad to a very close knit community. I was linked to this ad from Facebook by Lee's wife. They are not happy about this.

Amen Lonnie.
I find my pictures being used without permission all the time on the internet. Its aggravating and frustrating.

This outfitter also has this posted on several different craigslist adds. The sad thing about it is he says he only has the last weekend available for 4 hunters. That tells me he has had several hunters already book with him for the first 2 weeks. He knew exactly what he was doing. Saying he is seeing 170 to 200 class mule deer on a regular basis in Cochran County. Give me a break!

Thanks for the information. But, from what I have gathered it looks like this ranch was just leased by them in the past week or so. It was still un-leased on Aug 9 from the ad on hunting locator (you can look it up by zip code 79346). Looks as if they were only allowing 4 mule deer hunters, so hopefully nobody has booked believing they are going to kill a Mexico mule deer in far West Texas......HOPEFULLY!

But, again, thanks for the information on the Craigslist ads.

Maybe this thread will get as entertaining as that one a while ago on Land & Leases where family and friends of the con man came on here and said they'd beat up anyone who said anything negative. That was a riot.

If it looks shady, sounds shady and has been proven shady..............RUN. I also notice the "outfitter" has not been back to offer any more of a defense.

Really enjoy it when a questionable outfitter gets called out for not being legit and trying to scam somebody. I would think that anybody who would pay $6,500 for a hunt would do some research into the hunt, and not book off of some craigslist ad, but I guess you never know.

Didn't someone try this last year posting some deer from Gaines Co. on his outfitters site trying to sell hunts?
