Got my packet in the mail and need to take the course again for RENEWAL....I live in Arlington.
You guys know anyone close to me thats good. <Ft. Worth area>

Get is done and get you packet in EARLY. DPS is so backed up that it is often taking a call from your state rep/senator to the the process complete... New apps are running an average of 190 days. Check the CHL forum.

State of Tx sent me a letter with a secret number and I paid online and had the packet in 2 days.

Have you checked to make sure you have to take the class for renewal? My wife's came due a few months back. After a call to the DPS, we have to take the class every other time, not every renewal as before.
God is so good to me.

bigron did yall just have to update photo like a drivers license? i was planning on taking mine this month though its not due til august because of the log jam

She had to do everything except class. Photos from Walmart. Prints taken at Wise County Sherriff's Dept. Started process as soon as we got a packet. Her CHL was expired about 6 weeks before we received her new permit.
God is so good to me.

2 coworkers just got thiers,1 was 59 days the other was 42 days but we work at a Airport where we have constat background checks-That probably helps speed it up some 
too many guns - too little time
