I remember a discussion on it awhile back. Did not seem economically feasible.
To be determined

Good luck getting a high grade of ammonium nitrate without someone knocking on your door lol.
It's simple to make but I won't get into that.
I did build a cabin. Aka the brokeback shack.

I bought a bunch of aluminum powder a while back, easy to get online and relatively inexpensive. The ammonium nitrate is pricey, but can be found on amazon. That said you will still come in well below what you would buy it for at the store. Nobody knocked on my door after buying the powder, see what happens when I buy the AN

I've made my own and it was very economical. I came across a great deal on bulk boxes of instant cold packs. I bought what was equal to about 50 pounds of tannerite for $100.
Just make sure you store in something that is sealed tight. I thought mine would be ok since the cold packs were sealed plastic bags. Half of it sucked in water and was ruined. It was good for my garden though!
It costs more, but it is so much easier just to buy it. There is a brand at Atwood's (Sonic Boom?) that is cheaper.
