Just plan on locals hunting your place...Its great deer and bear area...very affordable BUT most places there have no fences because of the terrain....

It's a beautiful area and there are some great deer. If you like the place and it's affordable give it a shot. I was on a lease and many of the members had issues with feeders etc from bears and poachers. However I don't hunt over feeders and used climbing stands exclusively. I saw some nice deer but only harvested does. If you study the woods and find food sources, paths, scrapes etc than the use of a feeder is completely unnecessary and your chances of having poacher conflicts will diminish. I got off of a place and by July I was wanting back on, however it was leased. Only reason I got off was the drive and no utilities plus I typically went when the weather was better for duck hunting anyhow. IF you're not planning on hunting it like S TX definitely give it a try. Lots of public land on the county that I learned decently while on my lease so that's another reason I got off. You're most likely going to need 4x4. Hope this helps and good luck!

This place seems to deep in there and privately owned but don't think it's fenced in, it's up in the mountains and is rough. Would there still be poacher traffic even there? And we are looking at the bear hunting for sure cause we already found bear on the place
