Since deer season is over and I am not on a lease anymore, I am looking to buy some land. I live in south Houston and would like to get about 40 to 100 acres. i would like land out near the hill country, but it is just so expensive. I would like to get something within 4 hours of my house. I would bowhunt and rifle hunt on it. Could anyone give any suggestions on where to go to look. I would also like north east Texas.

Anywhere close to a bigger city is gonna be more. As far as where to go, you need to decide that.
