I think the NM800 is equivalent to the T50. It uses an 850nm DR-IR LED if that means anything to you!

I don't know how the T50 compares to a Nightmaster as only have the latter, but it is an excellent lamp.

More spec is found at the dereelight website under Nightmaster

The NM800 is better yes, comparing to all the, T20/38,T50 and T67, but at what cost,
seens like the T series is doing the job at a lower cost....
But that just me, saying that

Need more info than that.
Is the filename xsight.bin?
is there any messages in the viewfinder?
Did you format the sd card?
New batteries?

Have you made sure that the sd card is all the way in? Some units the card wont seat all the way causing the scope to not recognize it.

When you check the sd csrd on the computer did the file actually make it to the sd card?

There are some threads on www.nightvisionforumuk.com about getting the update on. from memory when i did mine.

load bin file on your microsd
have xsight off batteries out
put microsd in xsight
load batteries switch on
should see 0-100% load up on in viewfinder
xsight will look like it has freezed
do a hard reset take batery cap off
put battery cap back on switch on
should be updated

pain in the butt but apparently somewhere in the online manual
hope that helps

Make sure when you format your SD card that you use "Fat 32" for the firmware update. I used the newer format first and it did what you are explaining. Then I tried fat32 and it loaded fine.

I would try reformating the card using fat 32 (you can use the quick format), then add the bin file to the card. Make sure the file is named correctly.

To format: right click on the sd card drive in windows explorer, click format, select quick format and then start (or Ok or Format, don't have my computer in front of me).

it is already in fat32 spy, for some reason the scope is not reading the card, it shows when I hook up the usb.

Just out of curiosity what firmware is currently on it? I havent tried to load a firmware of the same release on top of itself.
Sometimes its best to walk away for awhile.

Download the version you want from my box site,
format the microsd card with fat32 and copy
the file there, rename it to xsight.bin put
it in the card slot and start the scope, if
all is ok it will ask you if you want to update
firmware, say yes and it will start loading the
new one. at 100 % remove the batteries(hard reset)
and the Micro sdcard, put the batteries back in
and restart the scope.
Then it should finnish the last details of updating
the firmware.

Good Luck
