I am bout to bite the bullet on a 03 Club Car and convert it over to a hunting rig. From the research that I have done, it doesnt look all that hard to do and I should be able to do all of it myself in the shop at the house. Also, I am think when it is all said and done, I should have less than $2500 invested in it. That includes the cart, lift, tires/wheels, front rack, top rack, and lights. That is probably all that I will do to it for now and I may not put the top rack on it. The cart already has a rear seat that fold down to a bed.

Cant wait to get started although the wife is not happy about this porject at all!

They work pretty well. They are very nimble and light and you can get around most anything that you can't get through. They struggle on hills and if you cross water, the belt gets wet and slips. I've used one for years here in the hill country and it does fine. I put a radio in it and most golf carts have 4 cup holders so they're great for riding fence lines with some BEvERages.

I've been toying with selling it to buy a true side x side, but really just because I have the bug, not because this one has disappointed me for what I do with it.

As for the upgrades, yes, should be simple. It all bolts right on.

Not to bad if your on a budget, i thought i wanted one until i actually bought one and used it at the lease, but for the same money i would just continue to use a 4 wheeler. By the end of the day riding the golf cart i thought i would be pissing blood, that thing rode horrible. Not a smooth ride at all! I just bought a used 3010 Mule and it is night and day compared to the cart.

Its fine until it loses power or goes dead when your about 2 miles from the camp, if its battery powered. They are designed to operate on golf courses and its not exactly the same terrain where most of us hunt. I look at like its wasting 3K but that's me. Personally I use a polaris ranger or truck depending on road conditions. Yes, a side X side is crazy expensive but its out weighs working on your ride when your trying to hunt.

...and I'm fixing to start on another. Those pics were taken before the seat covers came in. My dad is of the age where he can't make the walk from camp to his stand. This gets him out there quickly and quietly. Twice this year he's driven it right to his stand, gotten in, and there were deer less than a hundred yards out that weren't spooked by his approach.

They work great for what they are. And his works great for what he makes it do. I've told him that it's not built to haul our small (2x4) trailer packed full of corn, but I can tell you it's been done more times than I can count.

Good luck with your project, if you have any issues there's a few guys on here who have worked with them in the past.

My complaint with them is they are too expensive for what you get.
