My brother in law just got a new lease, and by default I am on it

Question is, does anyone know much about this area...Deer popoulation, hogs, fishing the Sabine, ducks etc...

The land backs up to the Sabine River, which is our back property line...Only saw the land on a quick walk around with the owners showing us the boundrys...

It is 140 acres, just looking for any info on the town, area, on hunting & fishing as well as poachers...I know they can be anywhere, just trying to some input if this area is know for theft of game or hunting equiptment as well...

Thanks in advance...Hoping for "positive" answers

Generally speaking this area expect lower deer populations, high hog populations and hunting pressure having a great effect on daytime activity. Hunt the acorns. Feeders typically have hog and doe activity. As always each specific area with have variances.

Give thanks in all circumstances.

It's been a really weird season this year. There are a ton of oaks/acorns in the area. So in short don't expect to throw corn and see hogs/deer regularly. Buddy shot a 155 buck this year.
