I got a new TC encore 7mm 08 and want a new scope, I like Vortex Vipers. What do you think of 6 x 24 50mm vs 2.5 x 10 44mm.

Thanks for any input!

What will the rifle be used for? What are the normal distances you will shoot at?

You can always dial back the 6-24x, you can't make the 2.5-10x any more powerful. Get the big one.

I definitely wouldn't get a 6-24 for hunting. 4-16 would be ideal for your hunting application...
