I stumbled upon this at the SHOT show at "Tristar's" booth. They had a working sample that appeared to function very well within the bowels of the Sands Expo Center - I wonder if it will work in the field.......
What do you guys/gals think of the product price point and concept, would you have a use for a 200 yard range finder at night?
The product is not yet listed on their website however they sent me the instruction manual here is the highlights below.
A rangefinder for night use has been needed. The price is fine. We always like cheaper, but this is fine. I would prefer it "in" the scope so you don't lose the target when you switch back and forth. I'd buy one though.
Shot a yote the other night. No time to range unless it was in the scope. Often happens that way. I thought he was about 80 yards. Turns out he was 128 yards.
I think it's a pretty good price point. I wonder how good the night function will work? I noticed that it says 200m max, to me that probably means less in the field and if thats the case it probably wouldn't work for me. Time will tell how it actually works out!
