Recently redesigned to incorporate a 10x fixed focus lens system and COLOR high res OLED viewfinder. Note - It could take awhile to save up the $$$ coin $$$ for this one = ~2k US dollars.

I am not sure about fixed focus given some of the problems of other brands with fixed focus sights that haven't been completely in focus, or not completely in focus at all normal distances.
10x? That would be a bugger to use inside of 50 yards, especially on moving targets. I have enough issues with just 3x at closer distances, LOL.

The DP's have had a very nice sight image. I'm sorta with DNS here, 10X is an awful lot for the distance most folks shoot at night here. Probably very workable for foxing in the UK however. The cost is a bit steep also...

DNS - I haven't put my hands on one yet but I believe there is a parralax adjustment (top knob) to assist with focus.
DFW - I don't know about foxing or ratting, I'm trying to cover the 500x500 yard wheaat field, I have other digital scopes for 50 yards and in.
What do yall think of the new look?

Like the new look Ben. I had two main issues with the DP, cost and reliability. I believe they have addressed reliability...now if they could work on cost. Otherwise, I think they make nice stuff. I generally don't carry two scopes to the blind for long and short range. My luck is that I would carry the 10X and out pops something at 50 yards and I can't see anything but nose hairs...

I have $ 32.68 currently in my "fun money" jar so I'd expect to buy one when the price comes down in 2016 Unless somebody wants to send me a unit to demo and report back on here............

I visited the Armasight booth at SHOT and met with Dmitry and Gary concerning the color 10x Drone Pro, here are some photos of the included and optional accessories for the digital scope Digital needs IR and the included Illuminator looks and feels robust The scope itself is solid in construction and sports a quality display screen tuned and synced to a color (daytime) sensor, a filter is used to ensure consistent performance and coloration. Viewing on the floor of the show won't tell the full story but the motion and flow of the image was very natural Note the dial at the base of the lens, this is the focus for the system and I found that it turned smooth and effortlessly, if your accustomed to digital you'll understand that you have to adjust focus often dependent upon range to target and turning a ring at the base of the front lens can cause you to move your rifle as you torque left or right. This type of adjustment had a tactile feel and no movement of the scope. OPTIONAL accessories. Digital love to eat batteries so Armasight has thoughtfully laid out a dual 18650 extended battery module that also has a pass through cable (RCA) for a video output if you are recording the hunt on an external DVR A DVR solution is also available which can act as a secondary external power supply in a pinch, no viewing screen however a status light will tell you that it is recording I was very impressed with this revision of the Drone Pro and I have asked to field test one in the Spring. For additional pricing or information check out the Armasight website or give the guys a call, they are very helpful and passionate about night vision. HTXH

I like the looks of this unit. I would be curious to see how it performs against the Pulsar N550A/N750 lineup.

The DP has typically required more IR than the Pulsar. The OLED color screen on the DP will be awesome. Did you get a price Ben? I'm betting over two grand...and 10X is a bit much for me.

They have always been Armasight fans over there. It just never caught on over here. Pricing was/is an issue, but it appears the reliability issues of the past may have been addressed. I like the size and feel of the DP and Zeus lines.

I like the size and feel of the DP and Zeus lines. I didn't get a price, seems to me that Armasight is comfortable with their pricing at this time and the redesign I am sure has improved reliability issues that I incurred on a prototype first year run model. You me and others know there probably isn't a clear winner, at least not on units costing equal money, in digital right now but based on what I saw at SHOT with the Drone Pro color it is time again to see what it can do in the field and grade the performance against Pulsar / Sightmark / ATN / etc. I'll update this thread when I get ahold of one in the coming months -

Yessir, they were comfortable with their pricing last year.....and you are right, there is no clear digital winner. The DP may well be the best, but at 3 - 3.5X's the price it should be. Lumping it with the bargain scopes that feed different markets as a comparison seems afoul.

Actually a decent little video here from the UK This video review was why I purchased the Pulsar N750. After using it for 12 months I have now purchased an Armasight Drone Pro 10x. The video doesn't do justice to the Drone Pro, there is so much whiteout, the image looks like crap. The Drone Pro with the right IR is far better. I use the Dereelight Night Master 800 (US distributor: Flaslight Hut. https://www.flashlighthut.com/store...minator_Flashlight_for_Night_Vision.html ). I also have a T67, T50, Dereelight XSearcher, The one that comes with Drone Pro and the one that comes with the ATN X-Sight. The NM800 is by far the best for me. The Drone Pro is more expensive but well worth the price. The guy that made the video now also recommends the Drone Pro. FYI I live in Australia and you can see me use the Drone Pro on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPbzozh6CKA

Just my opinion here but if I was going to pay $2k for any type of NV it wouldnt be on a digital unit! Digital is great for people like me that cant or wont pay for "real" NV or thermal. Honestly, if I was goin to spend $2k I would save up longer and go Thermal. Just my opinion.

This ^^^ As someone that started with a green light, worked through digital (still have one), NV and now thermal....thermal is where many folks will eventually end up. With thermal breaking the 3K mark, saving and getting it the first time is a wise choice over spending 2K on a digital scope.

By all accounts the Drone Pro is an exceptional device, but I think that its moment of technical excellence has come and gone. The lowering price points of thermal and Gen 2+ / 3 and their general availability has really made it too expensive for the low end and not capable enough for the high end. It's been middled out.

10x is great for precision shooting, especially at a single target, but multiple moving targets like hogs or coyotes are much more easily engaged with something under 3x. That said, the video looked great.
