We are looking at buying a property in the hill country and this Aoudad frequents the place. Looks big to me but was curious how big and age you Sheep experts thought he was. Looks like he has a scar from fighting.

I'll give you my guess and I'm no expert by any means. He's very old without a doubt and my guess on his length is 32-33. He would make an incredible mount. Probably be a little on the tough side to chew on though!!!! Great ram as far as I'm concerned. Baker

Nice ram - I would guess length at 31" and old (8+); great chaps and mass.

I would say 31-32" with great mass. As far as age, he's up there. My understanding is aoudad can live 20+ years.

I'd say he's in the 32-33" range and a great ram. Has very good mass and carries it out real well. Definite shooter in anyone's book I would think. The benchmark for Barbary sheep everyone shoots for is 30" and he will go over that easily I believe. I would guess him to be somewhere in the 8-10 year range.

There is a point when a mature sheep becomes a trophy in his own right. He is there.
