Been trying to get my wife her first buck for the past two years. Have had a handful of bucks picked out for her, but they never seem to show at the right time. A few weeks ago we had a 6 pt with no brow tines come out and he was one we were looking for came out late and she couldn't get a shot. Fast forward to the last day of general season, its 5 am and the alarm goes off she is tired and doesn't really want to go so I said Ok im going though... she thought about it for a sec and then got up... with a less than steller attitude We made our way to the blind where she quickly fell asleep with her head on my lap. Light began to creep up and I could make out a deer which looked more and more like the one we had seen before by the minute with growing light. Finally I woke her up and said your deer is here you want to get him? She shook her head yes and I put the gun out the window for her. After a few minutes she squeezed off the shot and I watched him collapse right on the spot. Broke both front legs and obliterated the heart. This is her 3rd deer and first buck... and thankfully for me she now had a on her face and a great mood! The morning before we were hunting had a buck doe and two yearlings out when they all hauled off for no apparent reason. Shortly after 3 coyotes came out. I grabbed the rifle put the crosshairs on one and shot. They all disappeared and I was pizzed thinking I missed them. When we got down we went and looked and sure enough he was dead right at the shot in grass about 2 foot tall, once he fell he blended in perfectly. And one of the little man... cant wait till he is old enough to go hunting with daddy!

We made sure that poor old coyote was double dead! I drug him back to camp because I knew my little nephews were on the way and would want to see him. He ended up staying there overnight and dad backed over him the next morning in a 3/4 ton diesel pickup I was surprised he didn't go squirting out the ends

Good buck to remove and congrats to the Mrs Cute little "hunting buddy" as well. Thanks, we have had a few like him running around. Shot one last year. One of the other ones from last year turned into a real pretty looking 8pt with about 1 inch brows for this year so we let him go for another year.

Congratulations to her. Now she knows you can't shoot em if you're not out there.
