Pond "A" is a pond for the well next to it to use. It's very small and very deep. Pond "B" is just a small tank that's shallow and has vegetation in it. Pond "C" is very large. Around 2-3 acres. It's very deep in parts, so they would have to come right to the decoys.

Didn't get to scout this morning. The landowner said she jumped 2 off of pond A when she went to feed the cows.

I'd hunt pond C since you haven't scouted. Better chance at more birds on the water. Set up for the wind, but be ready to be mobile if the birds are using another area of the pond.

I'd post directions to the ponds so they can all be hunted. You'll know for sure which pond was the honey hole.

If you chose "C", you were correct. There were a hundred birds on the water at legal. Mostly wood ducks, and I didn't get a single one! I pulled back on a ton of shots because I knew I wouldn't be able to retrieve them if I hit them. Next time I'm bringing a rod and reel. Out of all the ducks I saw, of course I hit ringnecks. I had a good time though just watching the ducks come in. These were all wood ducks just out of range in 7 ft of water.

Good job. Either bring a rod and reel or invite someone with a dog!
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.
